Why is this theme important?
The observation of multiple shifts — some of them unprecedented in scale and/or speed — has led Foncsi to initiate a broad, systemic reflection on the impact of these major changes on safety: climate change, digitalization, globalization, financialization, the restructuring of markets and companies, the rise of platform-based models, and economic and (geo)political tensions.
These changes could profoundly call into question the role of safety, the ways in which it is managed, the theoretical foundations established in the past, and the practices in place at all levels — from frontline operators to governance bodies.
