René Amalberti, Director
René Amalberti is a doctor of medicine and cognitive psychology, a former professor of medicine at Val-de-Grâce and Chair holder. For many years, he was healthcare safety advisor to the French National Health Authority, and head of medical risk prevention for an insurance company. An international specialist in industrial and medical risk, he has published numerous books and articles. He is also a member of the French Académie des technologies.
René Amalberti has headed Foncsi since 2012.

Corinne Bieder, Scientific Director
Corinne Bieder is an engineer with a doctorate in sociology and management science. She also holds a specialized Master’s degree in risk management and a DESS in ergonomics. After working for EDF, Dédale and Airbus, she joined Enac, where she is in charge of the safety management research program.
Corinne Bieder has been working with Foncsi for many years. She participates in the NeTWork’s activities, and contributes, as an academic member, to the Strategic Analysis Scientific Group.
In addition to her work at Enac, Corinne Bieder has been Scientific Director of Foncsi since 2024.

The team of scientific experts
Caroline Kamaté, Program Manager
Caroline Kamaté has a PhD in immunology. She has carried out research work at the University Medical Center in Utrecht, the Netherlands, and in industry at Sanofi-Aventis in France.
In 2007, she joined the Foncsi as Program Manager.
She has coordinated numerous strategic analyses.

Eric Marsden, Program Manager
Eric Marsden has a PhD in computer science, and completed his doctorate at the LAAS laboratory of the CNRS, specializing in systems analysis and architecture.
He was a founding member of Foncsi in 2005; initially head of research programs, he has coordinated numerous strategic analyses.

Jean Pariès, Program coordinator
Jean Pariès is a civil aviation engineer. He worked for 15 years at the Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile (DGAC), before joining the Bureau d'Enquêtes et d'Analyses (BEA) for civil aviation safety. From 2000 to 2004, he was Associate Director of Research at the CNRS. For around twenty years, he managed Dédale, a company specializing in industrial safety.
Jean Pariès was Scientific Director of the Icsi and the Foncsi from 2020 to 2023. Since 2024, he has been program coordinator at the Foncsi, and contributes to steering the strategic analyses that make up the Foncsi 4 program.

Hervé Laroche, Program coordinator
A graduate of the École des hautes études commerciales de Paris (HEC), Hervé Laroche holds a doctorate in management science. He is professor emeritus at ESCP Business School in Paris and co-director of Icsi’s Managing At-risk Organizations Specialized Executive Master’s program (Maori).
Hervé Laroche has been working with the Foundation for many years, as an academic member of the Strategic Analysis Scientific Group. Since 2024, he has been a program coordinator at the Foncsi, and has been helping to steer the strategic analyses making up the Foncsi 4 program.
